March 2026 —> Boracay

Had our civil ceremony and became American married - but only for insurance purposes
Almost bought a Rivian, then remembered we decided to have a wedding reception instead
We ran a (virtual) half marathon together! Byron's first ever 13.1.
Went on a lil weekend getaway to Santa Barbra before Byron started a new role with AT&T

And now we lock in and countdown until the big day aka Splashy's 5th Birthday (our wedding day)

Vietnamese Tea Ceremony

We recently celebrated our Đám Hỏi, a traditional Vietnamese engagement and tea ceremony, at the Banhtaka’s home in Discovery Bay. It was a beautiful day full of tradition (and a little untraditional fun), laughter and love.

The day kicked off with door games, where Byron and his groomsmen had to earn their way into the house. He collected lì xì from his groomsmen into a bowl without using his hands, copied some challenging six-person poses, made Splash do some tricks and put our dating photos in order on a trip down memory lane.

This was the first big gathering for both of our families ❤️ We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make the day special, and to all our family and friends, who are part of our journey. Thank you for letting us pour tea and “tea-to’s” for you and we can’t wait to celebrate with even more of you soon!
